Speckled bush-cricket Leptophyes punctatissima
Speckled bush-cricket Leptophyes punctatissima

I found this speckled bush cricket crawling up the side of the office building today. These usually turn up in some numbers, but I’ve hardly seen any this year. Very gentle creatures, slow moving, flightless and almost completely silent, considering how jumpy and noisy some other bush crickets can be. This one is a male.
