Fri 28/10/16

Saw a grey wagtail in the car park at work today. I had my little compact camera with me, so I took it out and aimed it in the right direction, then I looked down at the screen and the bird was gone. Right then, in the half-second it took me to move my head, the bird just evaporated. I have no idea where it went.

I did, however, find this nice little moth, about 2cm across. This is the meal moth Pyralis farinalis, one of the little critters that feeds on flour and other grain left lying around.
