This week we are down in Rye in East Sussex. Driving on a rural road between Tenterden and Rye bordered by a small stream, we came across a large group of young pheasants running around on the road and the cut reed beds. Despite several cars, they stayed in a small compact knot. No adult pheasants could be seen.
I also found this little zebra spider on the side of our caravan. It is immature, small even for this little species, but it had managed to creep up on and jump this relatively large gnat!
